UNBALANCED: It was a simple task. Five minutes tops.
Ex-pro baseball player Jake Longly and his girlfriend, Nicole, are asked by Jake’s father, Ray, a private investigator, to pick up some papers from a realtor for his business. Jake would rather be lying on the beach outside of his Gulf Shores restaurant, but he begrudgingly agrees. It’ll only take a few minutes.

But somehow, things are never simple in Ray’s world. When Jake and Nicole reach the office, they find it empty—except for the dead body of the realtor lying on the floor, a single gunshot wound to his head. Who could’ve wanted him dead? The long suspect list and the numerous possible motives make untying the knot difficult.

It’s a dark, drizzly night in Tunica. The parking lot of the Blue Note Casino, partly owned by the corrupt and powerful Jackson brothers, is nearly empty. Kevin and Melissa Hall, a young couple with dreams and a bright future, are headed home after long work shifts when they witness a cold-blooded murder. The killer is none other than Charles Alan Jackson.

After they decide to testify-do the right thing-they become the target of Charles Alan’s brother, Tommy Lee, who dispatches his hired gunmen to assure the Halls never see the inside of a courtroom. After multiple assassination attempts across several states, it seems that even WitSec, the US Marshals’ Witness Security Program, can’t hide the couple from the reach of the Jacksons.
